About Us

The Idaho Renaissance Faire is a fun group of folk who enjoy teaching and learning about History in a fun and engaging environment. We happily hold our event every year, the second weekend of October. Currently our location is in Kuna, Idaho and we are so happy to work with the community there to provide an entertaining event for our larger Regional Community!

Huzzah!

In days of olde, when knights were bold, and maidens were so fair

When dragons lived in forests deep, and wood-sprites scampered there

When plague as black as darkest night was receding from the land

And lords in contests did partake, to win their lady’s hand

On an island, in a village, a gathering was held there

Lords and ladies, knights and peasants, and merchants with their wares

Games and music and merry revelry, to delight your every sense

Come with us, step back in time, to the age of Renaissance!

The Faire is the best place to be in the Fall, since there is plenty of food and entertainment for everyone, be it a single person or a family. Since the fair features a medieval theme, the performances will be both fun and educative for any children that will be in attendance, helping them learn about their history.

The fun does not stop at the merrymakers alone, since sponsors and business people will also be having a great time, with the presence of a large market. Therefore, anyone who brings their products to the fair is almost guaranteed to leave with a profit.

Greeting potential volunteer’s!

As a member of the Idaho Renaissance faire board, allow me to introduce who we are and how

we would appreciate some help in continuing to grow and help our local community. We have had our

event in Kuna since 2018 and as an non-profit organization we have made sizable donations to local

creative arts programs in local schools throughout the Treasure Valley. The only way we are capable of

having this Renaissance fair is by utilizing the help of amazing volunteers. This is where you come in.

Some of you have worked with us before, met one of our members, or heard about us through the

internet via many social media outlets and to all of you we appreciate your interest.

We have multiple positions available that we need you to fill if possible. We have the ticket

booth, the information booth, and general security. The ticket booth is where we collect money from

patrons entering the fair and allow admission from ticket presales. The info booth is where our

volunteers answer questions about the schedule for the fair activities, direct patrons to specific booths,

and answer general inquiry’s from patrons. General security is our volunteers who walk around the fair

and issue verbal warnings to patrons who may be acting in an unsafe manner, keep an eye out for any

weird happenings, and get the board members or actual active security member to diffuse situations or

remove unruly patrons.

This year, we will have three training meetings to go over rules and regulations for all

volunteers. These meetings will be held on Sept. 17 th , Sept. 24 th , and Oct. 1 st at 8:P.M. and will last up to

an hour. Any interested volunteers will need to attend one of these meeting in order to be allowed to

help with the fair. All meeting will be held over zoom and if these dates and times do not work with your

schedule, a personal meeting with me can be arranged so that we may discuss the necessary rules and

regulations that will be enforced while the fair operates. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time

via email at humanresources@idahorenfair.org or via text or phone call at 1-208-891-5723.

We are so excited to see returning volunteers and all new volunteers! If there are any questions

I am excited to work with you on getting them solved so that we may have the most amazing 2022 fair

of all time!
