The following is a list of requirements by the Fire Marshall. All vendors are to read through this and are required to follow whichever requirements are applicable to them.
Every single event we have done we have had at least one vendor or entertainer lose their popup tent due to weather conditions. The tent stakes that come with your normal walmart popup canopies ARE NOT ENOUGH! We require tent stakes to be 8" minimum length with a 1/8" diameter minimum rod size. Heavy duty tent stakes purchased from any camping good area at Fred Meyer, Walmart, or any sporting goods store will suffice.
Please follow the information in the attachment to properly stake your tent. Idaho Renaissance Faire INC will not be held responsible for any damage to tents, persons, or goods from failure due to improper staking and anchoring of your tent.
Per International Fire Code all tents 400 Sq Ft or more require a Fire extinguisher to be on hand and shall have more than one side open and available to the public for egress. Do not block the exits with guylines, merchandise, or empty boxes.
In addition to the Southwest District Health Department approval all mobile food vehicles MUST have their mobile food preparation vehicle sticker visible for the Fire Marshal when they inspect the site. If you are not operating from a truck please follow as closely as possible the checklist that can be downloaded on this page (you are not required to have a kitchen hood for example, but no smoking signs next to the propane tanks are required).
